Sept. 7th Jerry Wennstrom The Inspired Heart

Joan's guest is Jerry Wennstrom, artist and author of The Inspired Heart: An Artist’s Journey of Transformation. At a time when many people are experiencing the loss of everything they most identify with, Jerry's experience living creatively in "the void" offers inspiration, hope and new possibility. For years he questioned the limits of his creative life as a studio painter. At age 29, Jerry destroyed all of his art and gave away everything he owned, and began a journey of unconditional trust, allowing life to provide all that was needed. He lived this way for 15 years. In 1998 he moved to Washington State, where he met and married Marilyn Strong and create a new large body of art. Marilyn and Jerry’s charming Whidbey Island home is now filled with his unique interactive sculptures and paintings. Jerry travels internationally lecturing, teaching and presenting his film and work and he writes a monthly piece on the spirit of the times for a New York City consulting firm.
